Christiansted Lutheran Church Steeple Restoration

This c. 1740 church was badly damaged by Hurricane Hugo. My brother Keith and I first built the 80’ tall scaffolding. Then we rebuilt the interior timber-framed tower staircase which was all pegged, mortice & tenon construction. The large arched louvered mahogany openings were replaced. Then the masons restored the masonry stucco exterior finish.
